About Roke
Roke is an international organization specialized in the installation of sustainable and energy-efficient systems across the Netherlands. We realize projects for private and business customers, including central heating (boilers), heat pumps, EV charging stations, home batteries, and air conditioning. With experienced teams from both the Netherlands and abroad, we ensure safe, professional, and reliable installations.
The Role
As a Central Heating (Boiler) Installer & Technician, you are responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining central heating systems at residential and commercial sites. You will work in two-person teams and receive support from our head office and technical department.
Tasks
- Install and connect central heating systems (gas boilers, combi boilers, hybrid solutions)
- Perform adjustments and optimize system settings for maximum efficiency
- Conduct maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
- Carry out piping, welding, and fitting work for heating installations
- Document work performed and complete inspection and safety reports
- Provide customer-focused service and ensure installations are safe and reliable
- Work according to Dutch safety standards and regulations (e.g., Gasketelwet)
What we are looking for
- Experience in installation and maintenance of heating/boiler systems
- Knowledge of gas and water piping
- Team player, accurate, and solution-oriented
- Willingness to work and travel throughout the Netherlands
- Flexible, motivated, and open to new technologies such as hybrid systems
Multi-skilled teams
At Roke, we are specifically looking for multi-skilled installation teams. While your main focus will be on central heating (boiler) installations, we highly value teams that:
- Already have experience with multiple systems such as home batteries, heat pumps, air conditioning, or EV charging stations
- Or are open to learning these additional skills with full training and certification provided by Roke

Qualifications & Certificates (International)
We recruit many installers from Slovakia and other EU countries. Not all Dutch certifications are required at the start – Roke provides guidance and training to obtain them.
Required upon start
- Technical education in heating, plumbing, or electrical engineering (MBO level 3/4 or equivalent in Slovakia)
- Driving license B
- At least one team member per duo speaks fluent English
Required in the Netherlands (Roke provides support if not yet obtained)
- VCA Basic / VCA VOL (safety certificate)
- NEN3140 (competent person for low-voltage installations – for boiler electrical connections)
- Gasketelwet (CO Certification) – mandatory in the Netherlands for gas boiler installations and maintenance
- NEN1010 knowledge (safety requirements for electrical adaptations in fuse boxes)
- F-gas certificate (preferred if also working on hybrid heat pumps/airco)
Contract & Administration
- Work as an independent subcontractor (self-employed / ZZP) based on valid A1 documentation
- Fixed daily allowance plus high bonuses per installation and service visit
- Standard work rotation: 3 weeks in the Netherlands, followed by 1 week at home in your home country.
