About Roke
Roke is an international organization specialized in the installation of sustainable solutions across the Netherlands. We realize projects for private and business customers, including EV charging stations, heat pumps, air conditioning, central heating (boilers), and home batteries. With experienced teams from both the Netherlands and abroad, we ensure safe, professional, and reliable installations.
The Role
As an EV Charging Station Installer, you are responsible for installing, connecting, and maintaining charging stations at homes and businesses. You will work in two-person teams and receive support from our head office and technical support department.
Tasks
- Install and connect EV charging stations (EVSE) for private and business customers
- Adapt distribution boards / fuse boxes (adding groups, pulling cables, installing circuit breakers)
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot charging installations
- Carry out drilling, ground, and excavation work if required
- Complete documentation and work reports accurately
- Deliver installations in a customer-friendly manner, without the need for return visits
- Work according to safety protocols and applicable regulations (NEN, VCA)
What We Are Looking For
- Electrical installation experience (experience with EVSE, solar, or batteries is a plus)
- Team player who is accurate, solution-oriented, and professional
- Willingness to work and travel across the Netherlands
- Flexible, motivated, and open to learning new technologies
Multi-Skilled Teams
At Roke, we are specifically looking for multi-skilled installation teams. While your main focus will be on EV charging stations, we highly value teams that:
- Already have experience with multiple systems such as home batteries, heat pumps, air conditioning, or central heating (boilers)
- Or are open to learning these additional skills with full training and certification provided by Roke

Qualifications & Certificates (International)
We recruit many installers from Slovakia and other EU countries. Not all Dutch certifications are required at the start – Roke provides guidance and training to obtain them.
Required upon start
- Education in electrical engineering (minimum MBO level 3/4 or equivalent in Slovakia)
- Driving license B
- At least one team member per duo speaks fluent English
Required in the Netherlands (Roke provides support if not yet obtained)
- VCA Basic / VCA VOL (safety certificate for working in the Netherlands)
- NEN3140 (competent person for low-voltage installations)
- NEN1010 knowledge (safety requirements for low-voltage installations)
- EVSE (EV charging installation) certification via Kiwa or ElaadNL (preferred)
- Battery storage training (preferred, to combine EV charging with home batteries)
Contract & Administration
- Work as an independent subcontractor (self-employed / ZZP) based on valid A1 documentation
- Fixed daily allowance plus high bonuses per installation and service visit
- Standard work rotation: 3 weeks in the Netherlands, followed by 1 week at home in your home country.
